## A closer look
### Keep the workspace separate from the device
Your remote environment and your local device play different roles: one runs the Windows applications, the other provides the desktop connection. DeskLink lets you plan the server resources independently of the laptop or workstation you connect from. Connection quality still depends on the route and the network at both ends.

### Choose resources for concurrent activity
A lightweight utility, a browser session and a demanding business application do not consume the same amount of memory. Count the programs you will run together and allow space for the operating system. Verify application licences and any remote-session requirements before using the environment for multiple people.

### Protect the door to the desktop
Treat RDP as an administration interface. Use strong, unique credentials, keep the Windows environment updated and restrict access through suitable network controls. A Swiss location and a no-KYC order flow reduce what you hand over at purchase; your access settings determine who can reach the workspace.

### A desktop connection is only one part of the setup

### Which Windows images can I select?
The DeskLink configurator lists the Windows Server versions attached to this family. Check the selected image and its licensing terms in the configuration.

### Can I connect from a non-Windows device?
You need a compatible RDP client on your device. Check your client's support for the selected Windows environment and test the connection before depending on it.

### Is this a multi-user desktop service?
The catalogue specifies server resources, not an unlimited number of licensed remote sessions. Confirm the intended number of users and relevant Windows or application licences.

### What should I increase if applications run out of memory?
Compare the RAM in the next plan or select an additional-memory option. More disk space or a faster network port will not resolve an application memory limit.

### Should I expose RDP to everyone on the internet?
Restrict administration access to the sources that need it, use suitable firewall rules and keep recovery access available. The correct controls depend on your deployment.

### Can I install and administer my own Windows applications?

### Does DeskLink include NVMe storage?
